My top 3 house plants
One of the most common questions I get asked is “What are the best house plants?”
Here are my top three recommendations, in no certain order (these three are all fabulous!):
🪴#1 = Sansevieria / aka “Mother-in-Law’s Tongue”
This plant has wide, flat leaves.
It can take a lot— but doesn’t require much. You only need to water it about once a month.
This plant actually absorbs electromagnetic radiation in the house, as well, making it beneficial for you. (Think you don’t have much radiation, consider all of your devices and iPads and smartphones and AirPods and Bluetooth gadgets.)
🪴#2 = ZZ Plant
This plant has an extremely long botanical name, so let’s just go with the shortened nickname.
This plant looks great— it appears as if the leaves have been waxed.
This, too, is another plant that doesn’t require much attention, making it great for people who love plants but don’t like the burden of taking care of them. Water it just once a month.
🪴#3 = Ponytail Palm
This plan is actually a succulent, meaning the root stores water. It looks to be pot bound.
And…
… just like the other two, it only requires once-a-month watering.
Be sure you water those plants the right way. Learn how in this post.
